Global economic crisis is one major concern in the world today. European Union (EU) warns its member nations; France and Italy while rewarding the six member countries for achieving recovery in terms of finances. According to European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso more effort is required in order to solve the economic crisis.France, as the second largest economy in Europe has struggled for its lack of competitiveness which could result to worsen scenario.The bloc requires each country that the national deficits be brought down to 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP)while reducing its debt not higher than 60 percent.They have given a deadline of until May 2015 to settle its economic recovery. It is not only France and Italy which are experiencing macro economic imbalances but also some of its members like Britain, Ireland and Spain. Within the eurozone, the commission can set sanctions for its recommendations with fines, while non-euro countries face other sanctions such as the freezing of regional aid. Some leeway can be given if countries make credible budgetary efforts, but suffer unexpected growth setbacks. The commission on Monday didn't give sanctions rather recommendations to EU governments were to remove Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands and Slovakia from the bloc‘s excessive deficit procedure given their progress. Which could result to only 11 member countries will be remained in the bloc.
<Opinion>
It is indeed a struggle to any countries in the world fighting for economic crisis not only in the EU bloc. The countries which are part of this bloc are developed countries in the world. What is really the cause of that economic crisis which strucks not only the rich and powerful countries but also the poor ones. I do not believe of Charles Darwin's sociological theory that states ''survival of the fittest, elimination of the unfit''. Each and everyone of us don't need to compete each other that could harm the existence of others. Why not live in harmony with others by being magnanimous. EU as an economic bloc is controlled by a social system of which whoever the leaders is couldn't surpass the hardship because there is what they call imperialism.Organization like this is one good example of imperialist mechanism.
