“It’s more fun in the Philippines.” That’s the new slogan that will brand the new Philippine tourism campaign to be rolled out in international markets starting April this year.

Filipinos and friends from all over the world feel energized by the new slogan of the Department of Tourism, which aims to invite tourists to visit the country. Wherever you choose to go in the Philippines, it’s the Filipinos that will make your holiday unforgettable. Lonely Planet calls us, ‘among the most ebullient and easy going people anywhere. Don’t be shy about coming up to a Filipino and starting a conversation. We’re not just fun, we’re officially friendly too. Filipinos are pre-dominantly of Malay stock with a sprinkling of Chinese, Spanish, American and Arab blood. More than 100 cultural minority groups are scattered throughout the country. Roman Catholicism is practiced by approximately 83% of the population. The rest of the religions are mostly Christian. There are Muslims and Buddhists too. 

Despite the controversies and criticisms we encounter, many more Filipinos  are fired up to be the country’s best sales people, sharing why they believe it is really more fun in the Philippines!
It’s more fun in the Philippines because the people are very friendly. In general, they may be one of the poorest, but would give the shirt off their back to a complete stranger. That is true hospitality.
It’s more fun in the Philippines because of the good weather we have plus the beautiful beaches and warm welcoming faces of the Filipinos. 
It’s more fun in the Philippines. It’s where singing is not a talent, but a hobby. People who have less smile more, and a stranger is always a part of the family.
