Visa waiver eyed for tourists from Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam

Summary

The Japanese government adopted its new policy for Southeast Asian tourists in hopes of increasing arrivals from the region. This will help sustain the economy by inviting more tourists to Japan with people from the Southeast Asian region coming to this country. In fact, the Japanese Embassy this week confirmed that the cabinet of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe eased its visa policy for citizens of Southeast Asian countries as Japan aims to boost tourist visits to Japan by citizens of the fast-growing region and increase Japan’s annual tourist arrivals to 20 million as the country prepares for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Opinion

This is a good move for both countries in right direction. Philippines must learn a lot from Japanese. Way of life a discipline respectful people. Which part missing in some Filipino. True no matter what we do remains a segment of our society will always take advantage of the hospitality of a host country. Japan is a good neighbor from the north now has learned a lot from the adventures of the World War 2. I hope this goodwill will not be abuse and will poster a good beginning and closer friendship for both countries. Always remember, If you want to travel and don't know yet where to go, always count Japan with a good look into the history of old Japan and how it came to become what it is today, then visit their museums. Gives a history lesson on ancient times and the war times. Many interesting artifacts and buildings of old japan.
